The Lord’s presence is all you need. Yes, you heard me correctly, the Lord is all you need—not success, not possessions, not fame—THE LORD! 

There was a time when Israel and Judah lay desolate and the kings of Edom [Southern Jordan today] thought they would be easy pickings. But there was something in their way: The Lord was there—the only barrier necessary to thwart their plan to capture the countries.

The same is true for each Christ follower. It doesn’t matter what your enemy has designed to destroy you because the Lord is there. He will protect His own. What confidence to the Christ follower! He is there in our struggles—our troubles and spiritual conflicts. Even though we are opposed, we are perpetually preserved.

From the moment the spark of spiritual life begins in the Christ follower until his/her final breath, the Lord is there. The fiery darts of the enemy are quenched because the Lord is there. The reason anything virtuous or lovely survives in us is that the Lord is there. 

Therefore, dear Christ follower, walk in complete confidence. Whatever challenges you face in life, you have the presence of almighty God with you. He revealed Himself as Jehovah Shammah, “THE LORD IS THERE!” He will never leave you or forsake you—He is there!

For you said, ‘The lands of Israel and Judah will be ours. We will take possession of them. What do we care that the LORD is there!” Ezekiel 35:10
