Encouragement for your daily
walk with God
Christ
followers know that human strength, human resources, or human knowledge is a
strong deterrent to trusting in Christ. When we rely on our own strength,
resources, and knowledge, we begin to think we can handle situations without
help from God. We then begin to divide problems into two categories: problems
that we can handle and problems we give to God to handle.
When
we were introduced to Paul in Scripture, he was serving God in his own
strength—his own resourcefulness. But when he met Christ, things changed. He
learned to trust God and rely on His strength—not his own. That’s what God
really wanted anyway. He wanted Paul to trust Him implicitly, but on His terms,
not Paul’s. That meant Paul had to find God’s strength in his weakness. He
did…and so can you!
And He said to me, "My grace is
sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."
Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of
Christ may rest upon me. (2nd
Corinthians 12:9)
